Field Notes Quarterly Edition - Paletas Pack A (Special Edition)

Field Notes Quarterly Edition - Paletas Pack A (Special Edition)

Our 71st quarterly edition celebrates the paleta, the fruit-filled frozen treat on a stick that has cooled down sweltering summer days across Mexico and the U.S. for generations. The tradition traces back to the 1940s, when three cousins from Tocumbo, Michoacán opened a small paletería in Mexico City and went on to build a franchise network that carried paletas north of the border and into cities like Chicago.

Pack A brings three flavors to life on the cover: Chicle (Blue), Sandía (Red), and Queso Crema (White). Each cover features a transparent backing card illustrated by local Chicago artist Atlan Arceo-Witzl in the style of a classic paleta wrapper.
