Pelikan Souveran M1000 Fountain Pen - Raden Stardust “Hoshikuzu" (Limited Edition)

The Pelikan Limited Edition Raden Stardust is the breathtaking result of a meeting between two exceptional traditions: Pelikan’s German mastery of fine writing instruments, backed by over 185 years of craftsmanship and innovation, and the exquisite decorative artistry of Japan’s centuries-old techniques.

The M1000 Stardust "Hoshikuzu" is a poetic tribute to stardust scattered across a midnight sky, a vision brought to life by the renowned artist Yamazaki Mushu and his collective, "Hoshu-kai", a revered group of Kaga maki-e masters based in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture.

Crafted using the ancient Raden technique, this masterpiece begins with a smooth coat of deep black Japanese lacquer, called Urushi, echoing the depth of the cosmos. Then, three types of finely crushed abalone shell are meticulously arranged into vertical stripes using a traditional Funzutsu (powder tube). As the light catches the surface, an iridescent shimmer dances across the pen: hues of violet, blue, green, and silver flicker like distant stars.

The delicate Raden is encased in layers of clear lacquer, polished and refined over time to produce a lustrous, glossy finish. Paired with radiant 24k gold-plated accents, including a classic Pelikan clip and double cap bands, the pen exudes timeless luxury.

Each M1000 Stardust is individually signed by the artist and features a limited-edition number applied with the maki-e technique. The pen is presented in an elegant paulownia wood box, reflecting the reverence and care behind its creation. We are proud to present the Pelikan Raden M1000 Stardust "Hoshikuzu," a cosmic fusion of East and West, tradition and innovation, where every glimmering stripe tells a story of celestial wonder.
